ZEN HAVEN

The plot is located in Neelangarai. It has an east facing sea side. It is a single storey house except the bar cum gaming room overlooking the beach. The open plan helps the space stay connected to outdoor elements.
Natural materials have been used following the principle of shizen which translates to naturalness. The plan is not mirrored rather each space has been defined based on the size of the tatami mat. Also the roof is sloped as was done in ancient traditional zen houses and is not equally angled.
